Toni + John :: Oxon Hill Manor

With great DIY flowers and an amazing venue, Toni and John's wedding was perfect at Oxon Hill Manor in MD. Despite a rainy start and delay to the outdoor ceremony, the chairs were wiped down and rays of sun burst through the gray sky. Toni, the bride, used purple and silver to accent her end of summer wedding. With amazing florals Toni made herself, a DIY candy bar and Georgetown cupcakes for dessert, everyone had fun dancing and enjoying the day! Toni was an amazing person to work with and I cold not be happier for her and John. Enjoy some great pictures by Jeff Simpson.

Sarah + Ben :: DC Engagement

I have so many great things to say about this couple! On a sunny, warm day in September Sarah and Ben met me at the Washington Monument. We roamed around DC as they told me about how they meet, where they work, and what they do for fun! My mom came along for the ride and even got asked if she was selling the flowers we were using and Ben's sandals. What an adorable couple to work with and I wish them a lifetime of happiness. I am so happy to finally share these photos they truly remind me of what a great city we live in and the great people who live in it!

Murray Hill Wedding :: Wine Inspired

It has been a little while since blogging. Work has been CRAZY and so has every other aspect of my life. This past weekend, I got to work with My Simple Details, Tara Welch Photography and Holly Chapple Flowers. What an amazing wedding with a great, easy-going bride. The reception featured two food stations highlighting the bride and grooms past, Pittsburgh and Maryland, and beer and wine highlighting some of their favorite places now, the NY Finger Lakes and Virginia. The stations featured a mini Primanti Brothers sandwich and mini crab cake sandwich with mac n'cheese, YUM! With an array of sunflowers and beautiful view of the Potomac River there was nothing better on a Saturday after a week of flooding.

Some great details included an amazing wine inspired ceremony space, rustic wine tasting with cheese pairing and chocolate, great seating areas around the reception for some relaxing and cute wine ties as the guest name tags. Here are some personal photos of the event! Enjoy!
